I can't believe how fast the time flies by and it is already Thanksgiving tomorrow and Christmas is just around the corner. We have all of our family coming over tomorrow for the big feast and it's always a wonderful time. With my show last weekend in Evanston and the show I have this weekend in St. Charles, finding time to cook the turkey and all the other dishes that come along with that can be very challenging. Luckily, my daughter is coming home for a few days and can help me clean and cook! My favorite dish is always my sweet potatoes I make. They are incredibly unhealthy but sooo delicious! My trick is maple syrup and a few marshmallows...that's it...it's amazing!
Well I better get back to work. My big hit at the shows have been my children's bulletin boards with a collage of scrap book paper on the border of it. My other big seller has been my one-of-a-kind wool mittens and texting (fingerless gloves). I recycle wool clothing and repurpose it by making these mittens. They are really a fun project for me and fortunately appealing to all ages!
I have one last show this weekend (11/28-11/29) in St. Charles, Christmas on the Fox Art and Craft Show. For more information please follow this link: http://www.artoftheheartlandinc.com/index_files/Page753.htm
Come out and get some unique holiday gifts for friends and family. I will have lots to choose from!
Hope to see you there!

Fall Diddley!

Good Evening! Sorry I haven't written lately. I have been sick with a bad cold ever since the end of our Fall Diddley show. It was an extremely cold weekend! Anyways, this time of year is a very festive and exciting time for me. Not only because the little kiddies all dressed up will be ringing my doorbell in 2 weeks or that Santa will be coming down my chimney before I can even write out my Xmas list but it is also a time for me to show more of my creative side. I had a lot of my Halloween and Christmas line at this past show. I will also be bringing some of it to OLPH and Cornucopia in the next few weeks. Come by and check it out! You can also get a glimpse of some of it in the pictures below. Eventually, I hope to get some of my stuff up on http://www.etsy.com/. I have heard so many great things about that website and how many amazing home-made items you can find on there. I hope all is well with everyone, time for bed, good night!

Cedarburg Wine and Harvest Fest!

Cedarburg Festival was a great success and a wonderful way to begin the Fall season. The weather was beautiful and I couldn't of asked for a more fun and entertaining crowd.
Along with a large assortments of wine there was some amazing caramel apples that my husband and I found, made from a very well known candy store in Cedarburg, Amy's Candy Kitchen and Gourmet Caramel Apples. If you are ever in the area I recommend visiting them! Also, in the pictures below you will see some gigantic, real!, pumpkins that are carved into very scary creatures. The detail of these pumpkins was amazing.
As for my new creations, I have been very busy working on my Christmas line which will include hand-painted Christmas pillows, wood signs, monogrammed ornaments and few other holiday gifts to decorate the home. These will be available at my upcoming shows that are all listed on the website. I hope to see you there!
